Fun national alert fact:

When I landed in Italy a couple of weeks ago, Italy also did this loud alarm alert thing at noon.

At this time our plane was just about to land and some people hadn't turned off their phones, so just as the plane was bouncing around, 500ft from the ground, a series of loud alarms could be heard in the cabin and it was terrifying.

Then, hilarious.

5 mins later everyone's phones went off to make an interesting soundtrack as we disembarked. 😁

@miffyhelen That would be an interesting way to out people who left their phones on. I never turn mine off and I've flown a lot.

@bryan I think mine was just on flight mode and it didn't bing until I unflight-moded it... Which is bizarre now that I think about it because I thought it would bing either way as long as it was on. I don't turn my phone off on planes either.
