Everything is flat for miles in all directions. What is that cone warning me about? It seems like a dare. I wanted to drive on that spot just to see what would happen.

@odd Probably worse. The land to the right is a clay mine. It looks like there is some moisture beyond the cone. Wet clay, especially bentonite clay, is something I’ve sen grave warnings about in Utah. Apparently the stuff eats off road vehicles.

@cliffordbeshers Yikes! Better stay clear of that then. We have several areas where it’s a clay called “blue clay” and “quick-clay”, and there were half a housed area just falling out and several people being killed a couple of years back.
