There needs to be a central API for album/music search. One that provides album details, art, and potentially service/affiliate links. Might need to reach out to Songwhip to see if they’re working on something.

@bjhess Alternatively/Additionally, there has to be a music database that can be ingested to one's own database along with a feed that can be followed to update one's own music database. Not sure what it is, but I don't think it's musicbrainz or discogs. Those sitese do a lot of tracking of every version of every album ever released, which is not something I'm interested in. Has gotta be something simpler.

@odd Thanks! Their API (if they let me in) could really do what I want. I could hit the API of Spotify or Apple Music for the base search, then Odesli could provide links to all the rest.
