Why do so many sites require that you submit if you are a Mr. or Mrs. and sometimes Ms., (and even Dr.)? Most of them aren’t selling me underwear, and if they did, they could just ask for the measurements.

@odd Haha. In a number of cultures addressing someone by a title is very important. The form probably just wants to make sure it adds a title to your invoice, so as not to offend.

@KyleEssary That must be it. I won’t be offended as long as they send me what I’ve requested or if it’s an invoice, I won’t be offended anyway. 😃

@odd Oh, I totally agree! The other thing that pisses me off is the sheer number of times I get mail addressed to "Miss Jessica Smith", when every single time I always put down that my title is "Ms"… so it seems there are these bureaucrats deciding they know better than me how I should be called and going in to change my details? And then their web portals don't have any way to fix it! It's just such an archaic and unnecessary system
