I checked website traffic stats and was pleased to see my first referrer of the day came from privacy search engine Mojeek.com. I actually get quite a bit of traffic from them so it’s not unusual.

@bradenslen Do you know if you can have a Mojeek search field and button on your own personal web page?
@bradenslen Thanks! I’m adding it to a couple of sites.
@bradenslen I need to give this a serious look, as well as trying to set it up in the xSearch extension.
@pimoore It really helps to be able to search from your browser. That's how I have Mojeek set up as default in Vivaldi. I hope it works.
Mojeek has a new thing called Search Choices so if you are not satisfied with Mojeeks results you can carry on with the same search elsewhere. So I always try Mojeek first but can use any other search engine right from the Mojeek results page if need be. Works great for me.
@bradenslen I tested Mojeek on your site the same way I've tested search engines for decades, by searching for a Bob Dylan bibliography. For decades after I published the bibliography that I had created in my spare time, my site always came in at #1 in results. With 544 books no other Dylan bibliography could ever beat that. If I did an updated version, I'd be over 1,000 books now.
This time Wikipedia had the #1 spot and my site was #2. I didn't count how many books they had, but I suspect they got to be #1 because they are Wikipedia.. I think Wikipedia often comes in as #1 on many searches. 📖
@bradenslen That “search choices” sounds similar to DDG’s !bangs that you could use to do the same thing by appending it to your previous search (with I did often).
