Before work this morning, I went on a Onewheel ride through Druid Hill Park as the clouds broke up and the sun came out over the city. Great way to start the day.
@odd It's called Moorish Tower! It was built in 1870 as an observatory for what used to be a lush valley (but today is mostly highways). It was restored in the 1990s, although they removed its spiral staircase and sealed it shut. It's one of my favorite local landmarks.
@charmcitygavin Too bad they couldn’t rebuild the staircase and keep it open. It’s a beautiful sight regardless.
@charmcitygavin yep. Have been here a good while. Thought MB would be a neat space to learn and experiment a bit. Been neat to watch the community grow and branch; plus have also picked up some neat bits along the way
