@cdevroe couldn’t agree more, hence why I don’t have one.

@cdevroe And in my opinion, HP are the worst of the lot.

@jeremycherfas Yeah. But you can still use non-DRM paper with them.

@odd If you have ink …

@jeremycherfas True. The last time I bought a HP printer, it was because it had AirPrint and it was the devil I knew. Next time will maybe be a Brother, at least something not HP.

@odd @jeremycherfas I agree that all printers are basically terrible, but as a data point, I have an HP Color LaserJet and a little HP Tango. The LaserJet has been zero hassle for years and the newer Tango was the easiest printer to set up and use I've ever had. I even lost my mind and tried HP's ink "subscription" and it's been a great experience.

@jack That’s good to hear, and I’m happy for you. Easy to set up, sure. But the Instant Ink has been a disaster here.

@jeremycherfas Interested to hear about the ink problem. Has it been delivery or performance issues or something else? I've only been on it for a couple of months, but so far so good here.

@jack @odd @jeremycherfas @pimoore - My most recent issue is that my Canon printer thinks I have the wrong paper loaded. I have no idea how to tell it otherwise.

@cdevroe @jack @odd @jeremycherfas You should be glad then, that’s only one of the issues we’ve had with our work printer. And it’s a Xerox, shouldn’t that company have their shit together by now?

@jack Delivery. It is by no means clear how they monitor or when they choose to deliver. They don’t distinguish between black and colour usage. It feels like a protection racket.

@jeremycherfas I'll keep an eye on it, thanks.
