This morning I asked my kids “what does America mean to you?” Their answers were interesting and thoughtful. We reached family consensus when my son added “and pizza!” to his answer. Everyone agreed. America has great pizza. 🍕

@adamprime 😂 Little did the founding fathers know…
@odd In these divisive times at least we know we can share a pizza pie and everyone will end up happy 😆
@odd @adamprime @johnphilpin Until I see a topping I don’t like on the pizza, then a new conflict will begin. 😂
@adamprime I think non-Americans like me have never understood the combination of Pizza and Pie. We think Pizza is Pizza, and Pie is Pie.
@derekpeden I think it’s a regional thing in the US. If you grew up hearing “pizza pie” then it sounds natural. But not everyone did.
@pimoore Right? Pineapple can divide a house. And I can’t even broach the subject of anchovies with my family. (I think they are good sometimes!)
@adamprime I never doubted it’s one of those regional distinctions, believe me we’ve many even in this tiny nation
@adamprime Pineapple on pizza is the bomb. Now, as someone whose first job was working at a pizza restaurant and occasionally had to make a pizza with anchovies, they’re perma-banned on my pizza.
