@mangochutney If this uses the spatial audio feature with AirPods, I’m super intrigued. I’m curious how far back this would go also, because I can imagine myself getting immersed in some old jazz classics with the feeling of sounds coming from all around me.

@mangochutney It is now reported as a fact. Lossless plus Atmos and both free as part of Apple Music. Excited!

@ronguest I’ve been back and forth between Apple Music and Spotify several times. This makes me want Apple Music, however when I see all the senseless pop music on the front page of the app, neither of which I’m interested in, (they ought to know, based on what I have liked, what I have played, and what I brought with me from my iTunes Match library), I won’t be leaving Spotify until Apple respect my taste in music.

@odd Yeah, they tend to push music which I imagine has a lot of marketing $$$ behind it - not my taste. But I never look at the front page of the app. I do a lot by voice, e.g. “play music I like” or “play music like ___” do a decent job.

@ronguest Siri isn’t all that good in my language, (Norwegian), and if I try to say something in English mid-sentence, like the name of a band, it only has crazy replies… 😢

I did make a number of Radios based on music that I like, and that worked well, but then there’s the iTunes Match/Apple Music logjam sometimes which also is a chapter of it’s own.

@odd Took a good bit of time with me liking/disliking what Apple Music recommended, but eventually, it figure my tastes out. Not as good as the Spotify recommendations, but not horrible.
