Permanently retiring a 2012 MacBook Pro and a 2013 MacBook Pro. This time I’m remembering to follow the instructions at What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support.
Still good machines, though flawed with age. Hoping I can get ~NZ$200 each.
@Miraz I just wiped my 2011 iMac and installed Linux on it, so planning to keep it going at least a couple of years longer. I didn’t however follow the guidelines, I just wiped it 10 times. 🖥
@odd I hope to sell these for a few dollars. Made sure to sign them out of the various services, remove them from my account etc.
@Miraz You’ll probably get a little sum for them. I’ve seen 2012 MBP’s for 3000kr not that long ago, thats roughly $300, (USD).
