@numericcitizen I went with TP-Link Archer C4000. I like the app that controls it, lots of prop options and control of devices on the network. Been about 6 months, can't really complain about anything, I was all Apple prior.
@numericcitizen linksys Velop would then be my suggestion although Eero is my main pick despite the Amazon connection. They’re still HomeKit enabled and run as a separate company within Amazon.
@sarcassem looking at the reviews on the App Store for Eero... no. Just no.
@numericcitizen They recently updated the app and that generated a lot of negative feedback, people hate change. The app is fine. Easy to use and works well.
@numericcitizen @mcg @sarcassem @hawaiiboy we are going with the Ubiquiti Amplifi Alien units in our new house. Eero users in our old house.
@numericcitizen We ultimately chose Plume for our house. Our "office" is above a detached garage, and we knew it would be a multi-step jump from our cable modem to there, and Plume seems best as those. We've been happy, and the app started good and has improved over time.
@numericcitizen interesting. I looked at the reviews because I was curious, and I can honestly say idk what they’re seeing but we’ve never had ANY issues and the app is excellent: funny how people have different experiences.
@mcg @numericcitizen yeah, I tend to hold app reviews in the same light as movie reviews. I pay them very little attention, but I tend to be much more interested in the thoughts of people I know AND know what they’re talking about 😀
@sarcassem @mcg I decided to put an hold on this and check back in six months... just like I did six months ago!
