I’m in the midst of trying to decide which accounting software to use for my small business. I’m leaning toward QuickBooks because it seems the most established and it has all the integrations, but I’m open to suggestions. Anybody have strong feelings about accounting software they’ve used?

@jarrod as someone pondering my options to if I go freelance, I would go with QuickBooks. My wife uses it for her business.

@jarrod there are other good products like Xero etc, but most accountants know QuickBooks or will know how to transition you from Quickbooks to their platform of choice.

@jarrod Years back, when I got married, I used GnuCash to track our personal finances. The only real issue was that it wasn't easily shareable with my wife. But if you want to do honest-to-goodness double-entry accounting, you might take a look. The project still seems active and I can't imagine it's gone downhill in the past 15 years.
