@numericcitizen I kind of wonder whether Apple is going to try and reset when processors are included in devices so there’s more consistency, like releasing all their laptops at once instead of the current (weird) refresh cycle that’s likely been affected by COVID + semiconductor shortages.

@Christopher I think Apple as a limit of engineers working in the Mac hardware group. They probably can't allocate resources on all Mac lines, which could explain in part why we see this very iterative release schedule.
