@nielsk another german here using micro.blog for two sites.

a) you got that ;) b) no cookies by default. micro.blog uses Hugo as a static site generator for creating the sites, so it's pure html/css if you don't activate plugins that change that behaviour. c) hugo knows a youtube shortcode to embed videos, but I don't think it's available in mb. But there might be the plugin route to solve that problem.

@nielsk Thanks! Hosted sites should not set any cookies, and it is possible to embed YouTube videos in blog posts. For bookmarking: there's a bookmarklet here, and the iOS app has a setting to also allow sharing links to it.

@muhh @help shortcodes work, but when you have two posts with youtube-shortcodes on your homepage it breaks. Then the newest post embeds another video from the homepage, and when you add a second video it might embed the right one for the second, but not the first one.

@muhh @help and embedding a youtube-video will automatically set cookies for youtube and for that a cookie-consent might be necessary in the EU
