@adders My kids have been having a lot of fun typing stories on my typewriters this last week—I feel like it has finally given me a good answer to my spouse's occasional "Why do you need another typerwriter again?" question.

@paulcraig901 Doubly precious to me, as it belonged to my late mother. I learned to type on it many years ago.
@adders @paulcraig901 @petebrown My mother taught typing and I learned it from her but to the best of my recollection she didn’t own a typewriter. She also taught shorthand but I didn’t learn that.
@adders That’s awesome. My first typewriter (and the one that really got me into them) was my dad’s Smith Corona Super-Silent.
