@maique I know! It didn’t feel great to see all people gathering to get a close look but on the other hand, it’s something extraordinary.

@ndreas It is something, but probably stressful for the little ones. We spent some time with a turtle expert on the island, and she wouldn’t let groups over 5/6 near the turtles, when they were making their way to the sea 😔

@ndreas That would not be allowed here in Maui. You can get close to adult turtles on quiet beaches - they just suddenly emerge from the water. But if it is a busy beach, humans are kept at a distance.

@crossingthethreshold that sounds like the right thing to do. If we had turtles in Sweden it would be like that I guess. Some authority would check in that.
