I wish I could use Journelly's new location features, but: taonaw.com
@jtr
On your #journelly post you tell that you don't want to use iCloud for notes. I don't use it either, as I am not a mac user, and icloud is not available under linux. I synchronise all my notes, the Journelly and beorg ones on iOS, orgzly on android and Emacs org-mode notes with syncthing, it is available on Linux, android, and iOS with mobius (unavailable in France) and synctrain that I use. It seems to be a secure way to synchronize your notes without depending of an external provider.
@jtr I’m curious to ask: How/when do you refile your entries from Journelly.org in Emacs? I have been using the Denote journaling entry system, so if I refile it to that, it would be a different file for each day that I am journaling (I miss a few days here and there). Do you have any suggesetions/code that you can share for organizing things? If I refile from Journelly.org, I’ll need to think about how to move the files over, or at least point the images with the new url because the path will have changed. Any suggestions?
@natharari.bsky.social sorry to disappoint, but for now this is a manual process. I am doing the same thing each time though, and if I keep at it I will automate it:
@jtr I see. So you make copies of the images in the Journelly Images folder? That must be slightly unwieldy, but I could see it working, I suppose.
@natharari.bsky.social i delete the journelly images, but basically yep. Though im considering some changes.
@jtr Eagerly awaiting your post on such matters. I also have not yet found any practical solutions as of yet.
