I’m trying to find a writing app for Windows for blogging. Currently, I am using Notepad++, which I use for script/file editing. I sometimes use Grammarly because they have character counts, which is a must. Suggestions would be appreciated.

@joshsullivan If you use markdown, I found some recommendations here, but I have no personal experience with either of them. I lists among others, Visual Studio Code (with markdown plugin)

@joshsullivan On Windows, I like Sublime Text with some Markdown-related plugins. I wouldn't use it, though, unless I also needed it to be a programmer's editor. I also used to use MarkdownPad, but it has not been updated in a very long time.

@mjdescy I have no idea how I forgot about Sublime Text. I have a license for it too. I installed ST and Word Count package and it works great. Which Markdown packages are you using?

@joshsullivan iA Writer for Windows. Looks similar to the Mac version last time I used it.

@joshsullivan I use Typora most of the time, but it's not the most responsive editor, and it's slightly glitchy. When I want to just write I go back to the Q10 editor.

@joshsullivan Sorry for the late reply. I wrote up my Sublime Text setup for Markdown several years ago on one of my websites. Take a look!

@mjdescy Thanks, I like the preview feature a lot. I enjoy that Sublime Text allows for Projects and Workspaces. I can't believe I forgot all about it the last couple of years, so thank you for bringing it to my attention again.
