Apple and Google crowd out the competition with default apps.

My observation is that many people with smart phones barely understand how the bundled apps work much less are seeking to replace them.

What say you?

@JohnPhilpin Agreed, I think for most everyday and/or light users the stock apps would likely suffice without them even knowing otherwise. It’s always been the geekier power users or those with very specific workflows that seek alternatives, though as Apple improves their stock apps some of those minds are actually changing over time I think.
