With the hope that some public accountability will help, Iām declaring a 30-day ban on my use of the following sentence phrasing:
Something, but something else
I write this phrase often, but it is a lazy construction (okay, that was the last one š)
@simonwoods Nothing inherently wrong with it. I felt it was making my writing lazy and ambiguous. So, Iām taking a break to end the habit.
@mroutley Sorry! I failed to convey my terrible joke was not serious. š¬ (I like self-imposed limits on writing; it can be a great way to learn a lot.)
