@mroutley How has the system been working out for you? What does your notes folder structure look like?

@kes I’m still using it, which is much longer than previous systems! I think the main benefit is in the Shortcuts that I’m using. I rarely just open the Notes app directly.

My folder structure is intentionally simple. I have a Notes folder as an inbox, Personal and Work top levels with a Meetings sub folder in Work. Plus Daily Notes, Templates, and Archive top levels. I’ve found that this structure and tags in the notes works well.

Are you experimenting with Notes?

@mroutley I am, largely for the same reasons it sounds like. Way to easy to spend too much time working on a complex system instead of just doing stuff.

Glad to hear it has been working for you. Curious what shortcuts and templates you have wound up with after trying this for roughly a year?

@kes sadly my most used Shortcut is the one for setting up meeting notes (so many meetings). I’m still using the Daily Work Report as part of my shutdown routine and the Shortcut for searching my notes is well used.

My most useful template is for my project notes. Good to keep them consistent.

I’m still tempted by all the great note-taking apps. But, somewhat relieved that I’ve forced myself to just stick with Notes.
