@aeryn Thanks. I just wanted to elaborate that even if you feel an emotional connection to an entity, that entity is not obligated to maintain that emotional connection or maybe it never even had a reciprocal one. Something similar happened with Twitter.
I like that Apple cares about its consumers above all.
This is pretty questionable, especially for events across the last decade.
@moonmehta Would love to know how. I’m not including developers among users. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s a separate argument
@pratik I get where Matt Birchler is coming from about Apple’s recent changes and how they’re impacting developers. But I think it’s worth noting that most of the noise we’re hearing is from independent developers. Corporate developers, on the other hand, don’t really have the luxury of jumping ship unless they’re also ready to find a new job. Their hands are pretty much tied to whatever their company decides.
I don’t have the exact numbers on how many independent developers there are compared to those working for companies, but I imagine the latter group is quite large. I think the bigger picture might be a bit different for most developers who are part of larger teams or corporations.
