@Miraz Almost like Big Brother™! I’m glad we are already thinking about this. Also I wish we considered saving our own planet at the same time. We could potentially live here on earth for a couple of billion years longer, if we took care of it, and stopped fighting each other.

@odd I’d like us to continue living here on Earth too! The two aren’t exclusive though: humans have always been explorers. It’s good for that to continue.

@Miraz Couldn’t agree more. Related to our grieves about fireworks I just remembered the scene in “Born on the 4.th of July”, where the marching WW2 veterans flinch when they hear the firecrackers. I think that was the best scene in the entire movie. ❌🧨

@Miraz Indeed! We aren’t, or at least shouldn’t be, leaving Earth for space. We just expand to space while taking care of Earth, including using space itself as a uniquely valuable enabler for that!
