@ericgregorich I don’t see this option mentioned in your post:
Open Design > Cards Theme > and open the config.json file.
@moonmehta 1. Design in the left nav 2. Click Edit Custom Themes 3. Click Cards Theme 4. Open the config.json and copy its contents.
Does this help?
@ericgregorich Hey Eric, thanks for your response and sorry for the late reply: I don’t see the Cards Theme listed as in Step 3; I just see New Theme and New Plug-in options up top.
@moonmehta The instructions @ericgregorich provides used to work before but is not anymore, since the updates to how plug-ins work. But, if you first create and set a custom theme, you should be able to take a backup of the config.json
file.
@moonmehta Sorry. I can click on 1) Design, 2) Edit Custom Themes, then 3: Cards Theme. I then have config.json under Custom Templates. I copy the content from that config.json file. Then, 4) Update the plugin/theme. Last, 5) Open config.json again and paste what I copied.
@moonmehta I would create a Custom Theme, that @sod mentioned if you want to make a new version of the config.json file that will never be overwritten.
I hope this helps. It's a little confusing as it is. :)
@ericgregorich Thanks Eric. I think that just like me other users wouldn’t see the theme listed in Edit Custom Themes by default due to the Micro.blog change @sod mentioned. In any case though, creating a Custom theme worked so my need is fulfilled for now.
