@mmetcalfe The eggs were good. The ‘cooked’ tomatoes had had a maybe 30 second contact with a source of heat. The hash browns were very salty. OTOH the service was very friendly and the view excellent.

@Miraz Good, friendly service always makes a difference. There’s a bit of a trend in undercooking cooked tomatoes. I wonder if it’s to make them more “Instagrammable”?

@mmetcalfe It led me to ponder which I’d choose: A] excellent service with mediocre food or B] excellent food with mediocre to bad service. I think actually I’d go with B. 😀 Anyway, options here where I’m on holiday are extremely limited.

@Miraz It’s a shame the options are limited! I am not sure myself whether I would choose A or B.

I love cooking and preparing meals so I eat out rarely. Maybe I get lucky, but I find the places that I feel welcome and like the staff are also the places where I get good food.
