@klandwehr You will be better off upgrading the storage to 512 GB, despite Apple’s high prices for the storage upgrade. I think the 512 GB configuration is likely to perform faster than the 256 GB one, too.
order a Midnight Macbook Air this morning and did upgrade to both 16 GB of memory and 512GB SSD. I decided @mjdescy was right. I think I would be sorry overtime if I went with the base model.
