@killyourfm I can't wait to see the K9 rebrand. Material You Firefox inbound?
@maique Indeed! it won't be launching until next year, but it's great to have it on the roadmap.
@killyourfm @maique wonderful news! And I love the new logo.
@killyourfm @jonhicks Nice one. I saw earlier today that Thunderbird was getting some design love again & it's welcome. Bird looks a little angry, but it suits much of my inbox tbh
@killyourfm @jonhicks I strongly prefer those "old" icons for Android, that you use for Windows/Linux.
@killyourfm @jonhicks Hmm... I'm conflicted. I honestly prefer the old logo, but I must begrudgingly admit that this one functions better *as a logo*. It's cleaner and simpler. The visible portion of the envelope being a speech bubble is an especially nice touch.
But changing an icon always slows down users who rely on familiarity rather than consciously reading it (or its label), especially elderly or non-techie users.
Should it be closer to the original? I can't say. The apps *are* new.
@killyourfm @jonhicks if the bird is swallowing my mail, will I ever see it again?
@killyourfm @jonhicks Unlike the current logo, this one makes it very apparent that Thunderbird and Firefox are related. It looks great too! ๐คฉ
@ProfessorCode @jonhicks and that was definitely part of the goal here. Glad you dig it!
@killyourfm @jonhicks I love seeing this refreshing modern look, it's inspiring me! Also, it makes the product more related to Firefox
@baldpolnareffart @jonhicks Whenever something is inspirational, that's pretty high praise. Right on, glad you love it!
@killyourfm @jonhicks
First logo change that I really appreciate in years, from any company.
The new minimalist approach is killing brand recognition, yet, your logo looks amazing and detailed, in a simple way!
Congradulations!
