I setup a Plex library for web videos and have an app automatically downloading each new video published on a handful of YouTube channels. It’s much nicer than using the actually YouTube app, which is filled with all its recommendations designed to keep you watching *forever*.

@mdrockwell Which app are you using to grab the videos? Just curious. I like this idea a lot.

@mdrockwell That sounds cool. What's the app? I'm running all of my media on an Unraid server. I imagine there is a tool packaged as a Docker image I can try out.

I think there are apps for Docker to do this too, but I don’t have any experience with any of them.

@mdrockwell I've wanted to do something like this for video content I've paid for that's hosted on platforms. Especially educational content that I'd like to easily reference later.

@mdrockwell this is awesome. Thank you. There are so many talks on YouTube that I wanted to get into an MP3. This will work great. Thank you for taking the time to share
