@MrKapowski I gave up on the app and use Safari with a content blocker. Curios tho, what do you mean by “Thankfully ads don’t get shown in the tvOS app timeline, yet”, are you saying you don’t see ads in the Youtube app on AppleTV?

@mcg currently on the Apple TV app there are no ad “units” displayed on the app home page or in, say, the recommendations list. I do get shown ads before or during videos, but these tend to be the bigger brands and fairly generic, safe, adverts - cars, perfumes, etc.

The iOS app by contrast shows me a bunch of ads in the recommendations list, most of which are for YouTubers trying to grow their audience.
