There is no way to exclude Finder from Stage Manager, right? I have to always turn Stage Manager off when I need to drag-drop files from Finder to an app (browser, Photos, etc.) #macOS

@amerpie But Path Finder will still show up as an individual app and not an overlapping window over other apps, right?

@pratik I know it's helping you work with Spaces, but dang I can't believe you don't find Stage Manager maddening. Empathy for all the designers out there, since none of us share the same desires for how to work.

@jsonbecker It’s maddening. I wish I could disable the animation. But I tried arranging the windows of the apps in each space. I use Stay to help each app remember its place but the clutter-look like a Bloomberg workstation was more anxiety-inducing and distracting.

@pratik Couldn’t you drag Finder into the stage with the app then drag drop?

@pratik I’ve you’ve been using SM with only one app/window per stage, you’ve been missing out.

@mcg What do you mean? Initially, I had set up a specific Space so I had three windows of different apps side by side but that became overwhelming hence Stage Manager.

@pratik You’ve been using it as I meant. Thought you might be running single apps per space.

@mcg Nope. Multiple apps (similar type) in a Space but using Stage Manager so that only one app is in focus and centered/full screen at a time within a Space.
