The law has changed a week or so ago, but today was the first time we were asked for our vaccination certificates at a restaurant. Our usual spot isn’t enforcing this one.

@vincent 😊 They’ll get in trouble soon, if there’s an inspection. We’re very used to it by now. Sadly.
@mcg As far as I'm concerned, both are bad. The fact that we still need these mandates after so many months, and the fact that they might get in trouble for not checking the certificates.
We're fully vaccinated, waiting for the booster shot, and we're very used to showing our certificates by now. No issues there.
Our usual spot (next door to us) was closed for a long time, and caters to the office worker crowd. I fear the mandates might force them to close again, maybe for good or, at least, with some losing their jobs. They should do it, but I somehow get why they try to get away without checking.
@mcg former. Thankfully not in Poland (for now). I’d be well annoyed having to show it. “It’s none of your business!”. I’ll probably just never go out until it goes away (which I’m not seeing happening anymore). Waiting for that starship to pick me up and take me away 😂
@vincent For a while we had to show an antigen test when checking into hotels! Most hotels had them on the premises, and they were free, but it took such a long time to process each guest, a lot of people just wouldn't go. I guess that's what's getting this restaurant worried. They're that kind where you go in, eat, and leave, and they serve a lot of people a day. Adding this friction might drive people away again...
