@mbattles The interiors of these post-office lobbies are wonderfully similar, which suggests there was a pattern book or published specification for post-office interiors in this time frame.

@ablerism Doing a dive on this question, stumbled across Edgar Miller’s remarkable sculptural program for Jane Addams House in CHI—for the children’s wading pool!—recently restored for the National Public Housing Museum (which I didn’t know), and which seems remarkable, too).
