@matti, I like your point of view. I have not had many positive experiences with using it for coding so far. I suspect it is because I did not try to use it for the rote coding part.
@V_ Thanks! It could be. At least GH Copilot does reasonably well with tasks like array and string transformations. I used ChatGPT (4o) recently to convert terraform files into cdk typescript. That stuff does work well enough to be a boon.
@matti Yes transforming from one language to another is something which I can see it working quite well. Just had another "fail" again this week perhaps I could have fixed it with some more time. But I needed to make progress, so did not go down the rabbit hole of prompt engineering :-).
