@Miraz Thanks so much for listening and for the comment! In the context of video-calling, I simply meant that for most people the video element of a call can often be superfluous and a distraction. Yes, however you’re absolutely right that other physical cues are very important. It’s interesting how powerful a video call can be for people having one-on-one conversation—whether they have a hearing impairment or not—but the moment that you add more people to a meeting, the visual and audio delays feel more pronounced.
