Micro.blog

Really love micro.blog, it’s what I’ve tried doing with Wordpress, but WP is so bulky I always flame out. Less friction, more posting. Found this site via NNW’s preloaded feeds.

Now I need to find “my people” here and sink roots into a community.

Hey new friends. 👋🏼

@rexbarrett Welcome to the network! I use WordPress as well and while I like to maintain a separate site there, Micro.blog is where all of the genuine conversation happens.

@martinfeld Thanks! It really is much easier to post, communicate, and keep up with others over here. Nice to meet you.

@rexbarrett Likewise! Which app are you using to navigate and post to Micro.blog? The original one or something like Icro or Gluon?

@martinfeld I’ve been using Gluon and web, but played with all. Which did you land on?

@rexbarrett Same as you! I liked Gluon during the initial TestFlight but now that @vincent has been testing categories as a new addition, I’ve been converted even more to using it, as I like to separate posts that way.

@rexbarrett Hey! I find myself posting here more than I have on any social network in a long time. I have the desire to share myself online again, thanks for Micro.blog. But it seems that finding "my people" may take a while. How's it going for you?

@thereceivinglife I'm posting more too and I actually feel thoughtful about what I want to say. The "my people" thing is tough without knowing if someone reciprocates a "follow". Just replying to get the attention of people you think could be possibilities is at the very edges of my comfort zone, but I'm doing it.
