At this point in my life the only collections that will need to be dealt with when I move on are my tools and notebooks. Subscribed to catch future ruminations. @aa Thank you so much for your kind feedback; I’m glad that you found it interesting. It certainly is more complicated these days to keep track of our lives in both the physical and virtual worlds. I don’t think that there’s any one correct way of doing things, as long as people are happy and living lives of moderation.

Do you record from stream of conscience with or without notes/bullet points? Your delivery sounds so natural. Good job.
@maury Wow and thanks for putting in such an effort! I keep a brief list of bullet-points to ensure some sort of logical order and only read verbatim if it’s a direct quote. I appreciate your feedback; given that it’s just me, I aim to make it sound more natural.
Which old iPods were they? 🙂
@martinfeld I replaced the batteries earlier tonight in four 3rd generation iPods. I upgrade obsolete Macintosh computers for folks as a hobby. Many of my Apple projects are documented on IG at www.copperthumb.com (Reviving Dead Technology)

@martinfeld Lots of Field Notes :-) Nothing fancy with tools, but they are accumulating at a rapid rate so far this year. I have unintentionally discovered that I enjoy fixing and building things (as opposed to having people do those things for me).
@aa Sorry for jumping into this convo! Aaron, have you tried out the Rocketbooks yet? Also, did we already have this conversation? Lol I don’t think so, but then something seemed familiar about it.
@aa oh they are so good! Totally reusable notebooks with an app you can scan you pages into. Use Pilot Frixion pens and with a little moisture, the pages wipe clean!
@martinfeld @aa so they are also doing a new Kickstarter for the newest iteration called Rocketbook Orbit. Their aim is to save the world from legal pad hell.
@sarcassem @martinfeld I like their concept! Although, their “reusable” nature does not mesh with the enjoyment I experience when starting a new notebook :-)
@aa haha I totally get that. 😀 and sometimes having a really nice pen to that paper is a thing of its own.
