@pyrmont The trials and tribulations of American coffee-drinking... are you a coffee drinker yourself? What’s the caffeine situation in Japan?
@Alcedine The Apple one was really good, but of course it had to be perfect there and they even had pictures on the menu. I wasn’t surprised! Haha 😀😀😀
@martinfeld I'm not actually. From what I hear from friends, I think it can be a bit dire compared to somewhere like Sydney.
@martinfeld lol, and here in Spain I’m begging them to add a bit more water; no big gulp or anything but just a bit. An decent-sized americano is hit or miss
@martinfeld Where in the states are you? Good indie coffee shops tend to make reasonable sized drinks.
@pyrmont You can certainly find bad coffees everywhere but the sizing and general expectations are more standard in Sydney. 😀
@amongthestones Haha that’s classic. Everyone has a different idea of what’s good!
@Bruce At the moment we’re in San Francisco but earlier we were in NY, DC, LA and Monterey. We’ve been able to find a good coffee in each city—from indie places and Starbucks—the only thing is that not every place has an 8oz cup or smaller. One place that I visited almost refused to give me a smaller cup (which was visible in a stack) because they ‘only used them to collect the shots’. Not complaining... it’s just funny! 😀
@martinfeld Ha! When you are in NYC, you should check out a Cafe Grumpy. The one in the Fashion District (39th & 7th) has great latte art. ☕️
