It’s the 20th anniversary of The Matrix today! I wrote this last year and thought that it was appropriate to share again: Almost 20: ‘The Matrix’ – Lounge Ruminator.
@martinfeld A friend if mine had one of those Nokia phones with the cool shoot out key covers like they had in the movie. At least it was cool, until when he started answering calls and the key cover, which contained the microphone, starting shooting off to the other side of the room.
@martinfeld Hmmm. This was ~20 years ago so my memory is a little fuzzy. But I think he struggled through for a few weeks by cupping his hands over it to stop it shooting away, but eventually took it back or bought a different phone.
@yorrike That would have been infuriating. He must have looked like some sort of paranoid criminal (or indeed Neo trying to evade agents) during every call.
