@martinfeld Wow! Rob Dougan has a special place for me. The Speed Me Towards Death (Instrumental) used to be my "get in the zone" song every single morning before I went for the flight of the day.

@vincent I’m thrilled to read that you like Rob Dougan too! His style is so distinctive. All of his Furious Angels material and tracks for and used in The Matrix films are etched into my brain.

@martinfeld @vincent I completely forgot about Rob Dougan; his work for the Matrix films became the highlight of the other two for me. Thinking about it, that music was likely my introduction to the type of stuff that I now know most via Trent Reznor.

@martinfeld @SimonWoods @vincent I gave up listening to Rob Dougan about 17 years ago when I had a nasty bike accident (opening car door as I passed) while singing "You left me for dead" to myself in my head/under my breath. (No lasting harm done. I had plenty of stitches in my left index finger and it took years for feeling to come back in that part of the finger. The handlebars were the only part of the bike that needed to be replaced. I was lucky, but I concluded that singing bits of Furious Angels while cycling was best avoided!)

@SimonWoods Yes, somehow he made music that fit the score of Don Davis but had enough of a different electronic element to fit the theme of a virtual reality. I think the stuff that Juno Reactor did for Reloaded was also very cool.

@artkavanagh What a story! Also, sorry to hear that you have such a strong (negative) association with it! I'm glad to read that you were OK though and that you regained feeling in that part of your finger.
