@jthingelstad Your sauna reminds me of how aspects of one’s family’s immigration history can live on in a variety of ways for multiple generations. It also reminds me of this country’s regional diversity, despite increasing cultural homogenization. – Or am I assuming too much based on your location and last name?
@markstoneman spot on. Thingelstad is Norwegian and my DNA goes right back there. And Minnesota has a strong Scandinavian presence which is part of what makes summer cabins so popular as well as saunas and dips in frozen lakes. 🔥💧🧊
