I still haven’t gotten used to the naturally aspirated 4-cylinder boxer engine in front of the CVT of our new car. Coming from a torque converter automatic transmission and a turbo charged engine, this is quite a different feeling.
@mangochutney Just bought our first Subaru and CVT. It gets the job done, but not exactly fun to drive.
@mcg agreed. It's noticably better in "S" mode but the 2.0 l machine is definitely not a racer. We did buy it with that in mind, though, to be a reliable and comfortable mid- to long-distance car.
