I’m still madly amused by GM’s asinine decision to no longer offer Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in their future electric vehicles. They are trying really, really hard to ignore how important convenient integration of their smartphone is to a person.

@mangochutney this is a very stupid decision. I am not in the market for cars and hope to never be, but if I were, CarPlay would be among the first things I’d check. The avoid rental apps whose cars don’t have it. Luckily the ones I use the most all have them 🙂

@pcora Yup. When I bought my Subaru Forester a couple of years back, it was the last gen without direct CarPlay support. I had an appointment to swap the stock radio unit for a better Kenwood one the day I picked up the car.
