Good on Peak Design for calling out Amazon’s shady practices with their “Amazon Basics” products. What Amazon built here is almost a carbon copy of the Peak Design Everyday Sling and is even called the same.

@mangochutney Reason infinity for my growing efforts to avoid Amazon. Once we have a car I think the subscription is going to quickly feel like a waste of money.
@simonwoods I've killed almost all of my personal connections to Amazon a couple of years back. With one exception: Audible. But I agree, this is terrible behaviour.
@jasraj Yup. This brand thankfully has a good amount of pull with certain types of consumers. Others aren't so lucky.
@mangochutney so true, and the information Amazon has at their fingertips - and resources to create their own items - is scary (inventory of sellers across all items).
@jasraj indeed. Which makes we wonder: Do their lawyers have a say in which products are ripped off? I cannot imagine the legal department allowing a copycat attempt for a product that has active patents or a well-staffed legal team backing it.
@mangochutney yeah, I hear you. Surely there needs to be a case brought to court whose outcome - hopefully - leads to greater protection for other sellers vs Amazon.
