I finally succumbed and signed up for 1Password’s family plan after wife gave up her LastPass. The onboarding or rather shift from a license-based plan is quite seamless. We can now use a shared vault for common services.

@mangochutney Oh wow! I didn’t know that. Kudos on a great product. I have been using it for the past 10 years, I think. The wife already loves it. I wanted to control my vault but hoping you guys will keep it safe.

@pratik Thanks for the trust all these years. So yeah, the beauty of it is that we've brought the security model you konw and trust into a cloud-aided service. You are still the only person holding the encryption keys to your data. And now data off your device is protected by Two-Secret Key Derivation, which is mathematically infeasible to attempt to brute force. If you have deeper questions, I'm happy to help.
