And kept waiting. The plot seemed so contrived and unbelievable, and I’m not talking about the monsters. Finally things got at least interesting, if not good, near the end. Of the two storylines, the one in the past was more compelling, but still never felt cohesive. And don’t get me started on the present day characters — I didn’t like any of them. I’m not usually such a down on shows, but man. At least the monsters looked cool."
