@mandaris Crappy, so much for that. Credit where it’s due, 13 years is an absolutely impressive run for any computer. Any idea what you want to replace it with?

@mandaris That's lasted well. A year or two back my 2016 MacBook Pro developed oddities not worth fixing and I bought a new M1 MacBook Pro to replace it. I used the old one for various odd tasks until a few weeks back it simply wouldn't turn on any more. At least now I know it's finished with. Must send it back to Apple for recycling…

@pimoore Honestly, I feel that Apple has really removed the simplicity of choosing at the moment. I’ve got an iPad that can hold me over for a while but I don’t think I’ll buy anything soon.

@mandaris That sounds like a good plan. No sense getting anything until you’re confident in what you want.
