Sad

From the drivers seat, exiting a tunnel. A building up ahead, street art on the tunnel’s walls

Got (very) early to the tattoo place. The area around it feels sad and desolate. A 15 minute walk, and I’m back in the car.

Ugly buildings all around, with cars parked all over.

A fountain in a roundabout, with buildings behind it

The gloomy weather doesn’t help, there’s no one in the streets as well, but some parts of the city just feel sad and dark.

An abandoned house, with an iron fence and weed growing everywhere

@maique I feel this in Seattle a lot. We're entering overcast-all-the-time season and trying to walk around with my camera before or after an appointment somewhere challenges the morale more often than not. Congrats on the tattoo, looks great :)

@sherif Thank you, really happy with it 🙂 I still find it impressive how much the weather affects my photo mood, even after decades of shooting around here in this season. I’ll mostly blame the neighborhood, it’s not the brightest of places.

@alexink A little distance from downtown, but what a difference that makes.

@alexink I guess, yes. In the past I’d go everywhere, for work, but these days I stay mostly downtown. It felt odd, and it didn’t some years ago.
