First outing with the health monitor strapped to my wrist. A simple walk, close to an hour.
The workout paused around 6 times, tattoos got in the way. Why can’t it just keep going until I tell him to stop? Or can I, and I’m missing something?
@gr36 Thanks. I saw that, but no password, no Apple Pay, and a couple other things. Really annoying that you can’t just keep the workout going until you tell it to stop.
@maique There's an Auto-Pause setting in the Workout app, if you've not tried that. I don't know if it works for walking, though.
@maique you can increase the time the Watch thinks you’re no longer doing your workout. It will affect your pace metrics though.
@jack Just checked, and I’m not sure it’s the same thing. As far as I could tell, the auto-pause feature pauses the workout when it thinks you’re stopped. In my case the tattoos on my wrist trick the watch, it thinks I have removed it, and pauses the workout.
@jack They do, yes. Dark inks prevent the light sensors on the back from working properly, the watch thinks it’s not on the wrist.
I do think that, since so many people have tattoos by now, they could have found a way to make it easier for us. All I really needed was for the workout to stop pausing, and allow me to tell the watch when I’m done! Not that hard, I think.
@gr36 Mine are black, but not even that much. It's working on and off. I believe a little better than with the series 2, but still not 100%.
