And, true to the crazy heat we’re getting, today on the news there are reports that we might get thunderstorms and rain, but the rain will never make it to the ground. It will evaporate before it reaches us!
47C are expected at my in-laws on Thursday, we’ll get a milder 38C.
@ptrck Thank you. It’s very uncomfortable, but we’ll manage I guess. Plenty of water, and only leave the house when we have to. I’m sorry for tinyMovieStar, she still has to go to school, with clothes on! 🤣🤣

@thedimpause I believe the maximum measured in the country is just below 50, 49.6 or something similar. And I also believe we’re going to top that this week. So far the city is still ok, but inland people are not so lucky. Also the fires are already in full force. These temperatures, and strong wind, there’s no way to avoid them 😔
@maique 38°C is bad enough but 47° (or 46°) is brutal 🥵 Hoping the fires don't do too much damage, either, but hot weather and high winds and thunderstorms without rain all sound like a nasty combo 🙁
@maique I'm not envious!! Here it's supposed to be 24 today, 21 tomorrow and then goes down to 12 on Sunday.
@jayeless @jemostrom @thedimpause 40 is pretty normal in the summer here, and the city where movieStar comes from is used to 44/45, as it’s inland and near one of the hottest spots in the country. But it used to be a gradual think, building up to that. This time it came as a surprise 🙂
As far as fires go, it’s another sad reality. We get awful ones every year.
