I have no idea what differentiates a badge and a brooch. Anyone?

@adders For me a badge is more like 2D, and a brooch would be 3D. Usually I assume a brooch is some sort of jewelry, and a badge isn’t.

@adders Off the top of my head: a badge is a specific symbol indicating affiliation or achievement; a brooch is an elegant clasp or pin, worn on the neck or chest.

@adders I'd say that a badge has to indicate some sort of affiliation, like a police badge. A brooch is a decorative pin.
